Adjunct faculty offices: ILB rooms 138, 141, 337, 338, and 341 are adjunct faculty workrooms. You’ll find room to work, computers, a phone and other faculty there. These rooms are usually kept locked. For a key, please contact Terri Graham or Stephanie Lemghari. Rooms 138, 141, and 337 CAN be opened with your access card. Also, security can let you in.
Printing / Print Shop: Use this for making copies with at least three days of lead time. It is located in ST 020H (copy forms are located in ILB 239 in a drawer across from the copier). The English cost center number is 10-1-11410.
NB: If what you need to copy is in a computer file, such as an MS Word file, the easiest and most efficient way to have copies made is to email your documents—as attachments--to pgrim@howardcc.edu and tholbrook@howardcc.edu. It is very important that you send your request to both of them in case one of them is not available. In your message, you should include the same information that you would for hard copies, such as the cost center number and the number of copies.
Copier: Use the copier if you only need a few copies or you need them in a hurry. Use the code listed above the copier as your access code. Warning: please try not to make excessive copies and use the Print Shop whenever possible.
Email: All adjunct faculty have an HCC email address. It will be the primary form of communication. Updates and information will be sent out as emails. Please check it often! Your email account can be accessed off the HCC homepage at http://www.howardcc.edu. From there click on the “employees” tab; then, click on employee e-mail. Your account name is your first initial and last name, for example, sfrankel. Your password is the last six digits of your social security number.
Mailbox: Mailboxes are located on all three floors of the ILB. Please check it every day you are on campus. Also, tell students that they can drop papers off in room 239, and they will be placed in your mailbox. Students do not have access to faculty mailboxes.
Audio-Visual equipment: The classrooms and labs have an overhead projector, a computer (with Internet access) and projector, and the classroom has a VCR. For other equipment needs, contact the AV department in N-112. Their phone number is 410-772-4819.
