Adorned in a city of lights
and smog
one may have noticed that
things tend to go wrong
For C it’s a little more
complicated
All C wants is a life of her
own with a little more meaning
So she looks to those who
know her
K just wants to be embraced
by more than a bottle of some
sweet tasting long island
that for a short while quenches her intense thirst
At first A feels the need to
be loved and understood
but how could someone love a
man
who would rather bump some
snow up his breathers,
rather than give her a little tickle, a little teaser
Hunter just wants to catch a
ride……….to A’s to hide his pain by
bumping 6-20 lines within a few hours
For some you may think times
like these go sour but they don’t
Hunter decides the trip is
worth the travel
So he brings along B
B wants to see what goes on
at the “party”
Of course he forgets to tell
his baby’s mama, who’s eight months
pregnant, where he’s about to go
His 45 minute trip for a
little blow
Before one forgets to mention
another serious matter not brought to
your attention
B and Hunter know a guy named
Kev
Kev met C at A’s and things
began to progress
and then suddenly digress
when he decided not to call
I guess when caught in the
hype everything that rises must fall
C just wanted a little more
meaning
K just wanted to be held
instead of drink
I guess life is a little more
complicated than we think
A just wanted to breathe in
another
Hunter just wants to be
closer to home and his mother
B just wanted to get away
from reality by leaving the countryside and coming to the big city
Kev justs wants to live by
the three L’s: Live, Leave, Lie
Who would have thought it
would be so hard to say goodbye
In a city filled with lights
and adorned by smog
Things always seen to go
wrong
Until someone is smart enough
to say so long
